Invisible Men

Invisible Men - drawing by Harvey Dog 2020

invisible men
speak in unison

no longer
in the distance
manipulating
microscopes

the invisible men
are here
contemplating your life:

“If a rock sinks to the bottom,
but there’s no rock,
is there a bottom?”

no sounds ripple
from your existence

the invisible men
leave the room
satisfied

very satisfied

Notes

  • Grammarly’s Tone Detector states the poem sounds: Anxious!
  • …with a dash of disapproving. I won’t disagree.
  • Occasionally…I understand this poem
