Fleeting Recollections

Fleeting Recollections - drawing by Harvey Dog 2020

I dreamt
you were here
not there

I was smiling
I was waving
I was screaming:
“everything’s fine!
everything’s fine!
why do you ask?”

empty space
danced
across floorboards,
pushing
jagged wheels
up mountains, infinite
and unyielding

fleeting
recollections

I dreamt
you were here
not there
