Harvey Dog has been writing since he was a preteen from Hamilton, Ontario named “John Harvey” or “Harv“. He did poetry readings during his early 20’s and eventually evolved into the vocalist/lyricist for The Hated Uncles from 1986-1992 & 1996-1999. His poetry was published in about 10 small magazines from 1988 to 1991, upon which time he morphed into the wrestling persona “The Prince of Pain” from 1992 to 1996.

Harvey Dog continues to work on his words & sounds, which can be found at Harvey Dog Music. He has a novel (or two) in the works. He hopes to live long enough to, at least finish one of these & hopefully more.
