Notes
- Next Exit was a quarterly magazine published in Kingston, ON. My poem was accepted & published in 1991.
- The editor of the magazine, Eric Folsom, became Kingston’s first poet laureate and is still writing poetry.
- Here’s a little advice to aspiring poets: when you submit a few poems to a magazine, include a short one. Editors have to space out a magazine and lots of times there will be a small area that needs to be filled by a short poem. Give them an option for that empty space!
